GPHS is a fantastic school with a lot of tradition. The teachers go above and beyond to make sure the students are successful. Teachers each have their own internet page for the students to access at any time, to clarify assignments, download handouts, etc. The counselors get to know their students. The administration is extremely supportive of parents. And should the need arise, the superintendent is extremely accessible. While academically challenging, there are plenty of extra-curricular activities for the students to get involved with to enrich their high school experience.

I am a student at gregory-portland isd. I am in 7th grade at the junior high school. The school is very organized and has a well planned staff. All the teachers are very caring. Sure. There are your fights everyday. And a couple of gangster kids. But the principal handles everything very well.

My name if Tiffany and I graduated (as well as my father), from G-P high. As a fairly recent student I really would like to say that I am proud to have attended school in such a well organized school district. The teachers there really care about the students and they were the ones that made me start going for my education degree. It wasn't untill I graduated and faced the real world that I fully appreciated what a GREAT school I went to. The BEST teachers work at G-P! Thanks for your push and support!

GP High School has proven to be an exemplary school of high performance for my child. It has offered him the tools he needs to be successful and the teachers have been superior in their support and encouragement. I highly rate this school for students in the GP district.

G-P is known for its academic excellence, and the extra-curricular options the students have. This school has an award winning choir, band, drama department, and sports teams. Most parents seemed involved, and sports events are highly attended. This is a great school to enroll your children in, especially if you are looking to keep them out of the larger high schools in the Corpus Christi area.

This is a great school with a great education system. The teachers and staff are great people and believe in not just a couple but all of its students. I give this school five stars compared to the ones my kids have been in!

I have one graduate 2001, a junior and an in-coming freshman. The teachers expect each student to do their best and are by them 100 per cent to help in whatever they can. They leave no student behind but rather take time to help them whether it be before and after school or on the weekend (by making themselves available in the classroom). The teachers talk to you at the grocery store and tell you how your child is doing and as parents we look out for each others children when we're at 'competition'. Not all parents can always be there. It's a great school district, we care about each other.

We moved here 2 years ago from Odessa and WOW, what a change. Her old school was dangerous and the overall learning atmosphere was poor. Once we arrived here we saw that this school encouraged student athletes, participating in clubs and school spirit. The students here have pride in their school and it shows. The parents support the staff and the students in their endeavors. My daughter is an athlete and is envolved with 4 clubs and 2 extracurricular activites while still maintaining a ranking in the top 10% of her class. I owe this to the support structure that this school provides. The school district, staff and students are winners and because of this they succeed!
